My name is John Yau & I am a Commercial & Landscape Photographer based in Geelong Victoria.

Just a little backstory to the the word “Artifex” and it’s origins. It comes from Latin, meaning;
“The practitioner of Art, The Creator, The skilled craftsman.”
My practice aligns to the meaning behind Artifex; to be a skillful practitioner, honing in on my craft & proud to deliver on designs both for the home & office.
This collection is for you the Home Makers, the Interior Designers, the Print Collectors & to all you generous gift givers!
This body of work stems from my time out “in the field,” enduring the elements & practicing the art of image making.
My practice involves using both analogue & digital photographic techniques in the field & in the studio.
What I value the most is the final finished product.
Working with local artisans in picture frame making, helps to support local jobs.
